Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, an Autonomous Institution under Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and a Deemed to be University, Jakkur Post, Bengaluru - 560064, has announced the admission to Postgraduate and Research Programmes - 2021

Research Programmes- [Ph.D/M.S(Engg.)/M.S(Research)] in Sciences and Engineering: The Units where research Programs are available are Chemistry and Physics of Materials Unit; Engineering Mechanics Unit; New Chemistry Unit; Theoretical Sciences Unit; Evolutionary and Integrative Biology Unit; Neuroscience Unit; Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit.

Applicant should hold an M.Sc/equivalent, BE/B.Tech/equivalent or ME/MTech/equivalent or B.VSc/ M. VSc or MBBS/MD as applicable to individual Units with at least 50% marks in their highest University examination. Applicant should also have qualified in any one of the National exams: GATE/ JEST/GPAT/UGC-NET-JRF/CSIR-NET-JRF/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/INSPIRE-JRF with validity as on 2nd August 2021.

Master of Science (M.Sc) in Chemistry with an option to specialize in Materials Chemistry or Chemical Biology: Applicant should have a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science with Chemistry as a major subject. Those appearing in the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree this year may also apply. Those qualified in the Joint Admissions test for Masters (JAM) are encouraged to apply.

Integrated Ph.D Programmes in Materials Science, Chemical Science and Biological Science: Applicant should have a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor's level in the subject specified for each area. Those appearing in the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree this year may also apply. Candidates qualified in the Joint Admissions test for Masters (JAM) are encouraged to apply. SC/ST/PwD/EWS/Minorities/Women candidates are encouraged to apply.
