Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Courses, 2020-21.

The Courses include B.Sc. Nursing and B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences Courses. The Allied Health Science courses are (i) Anaesthesia Technology (ii) Cardiac Laboratory Technology (iii) Dialysis Technology (iv) MLT in Blood Banking (v) Medical Technology-Radio-diagnosis (vi) Neuro Technology (vii) Nuclear Medicine Technology (viii) B. Optom. (Bachelor of Optometry) (ix) Perfusion Technology (x) Radiotherapy Technology and (xi) Medical Laboratory Technology (M.L.T)

Applicant should be an Indian National, who would complete 17 years latest by 31 December 2020.They should have been born on or before 1 January 2004. There is no upper age limit.

Applicants should have passed the Higher / Senior Secondary Examination/equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology or Higher Secondary Examination (+2) Vocational Stream with Medical Laboratory Assistant or any equivalent examination. Medical Laboratory Assistant course in the Vocational Stream will not be considered as eligibility criteria for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) course.

Applicant must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Botany & Zoology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology together (40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for General PwD) at the qualifying examination. Those who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying Examination in the year 2020 or whose results of the examination board have not yet been declared can also apply for admission.

Application fee is Rs.1500/- (Rs.1200/- for SC/ST). PwD applicants are exempted from payment of Application Fee. The fee can be paid by Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.

Selection to the Programmes will be based on a common online Computer Based Test (CBT), to be conducted on 22nd September, 2020 (Tuesday) from 2 pm to 3.30 pm.

It will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Physics (20 questions), Chemistry (20), Biology (40), English Language (10) and Logical & Quantitative Reasoning (10). Each correct answer will get 1 mark. There is no negative marking.

Applicants have to get the 50th percentile score to qualify. PwD applicants of unreserved category have to get 45th percentile score and those of SC/ST/OBC, the 40th percentile score to qualify.

Academic fee for all courses is Rs.1200/- per annum
