The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a Special Stray Vacancy Round for MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing courses as part of the UG Counselling 2025.

MCC has informed all the NEET UG-eligible candidates that some MBBS seats are still lying vacant due to non-joining/non-reporting after the completion of the Stray Vacancy Round of UG counselling 2025. The details of the vacant seats are available at https://mcc.nic.in/

In view of the above, the competent authority has decided to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the vacant MBBS seats in an online mode so that the precious medical seats do not go waste. MCC will also conduct a round for filling vacant BDS/B.Sc. (Nursing) seats, along with the filling of MBBS seats.

Candidates who are not holding any seat in earlier rounds of All India Quota & State Quota only will be eligible to participate. Hence, candidates who are holding any seat in earlier rounds of All India Quota & State Quota irrespective of the course allotted (MBBS/BDS/B.Sc (Nursing)) are ‘not eligible’ to participate.

Eligible candidates will have to do fresh choice filling for the Special Stray Vacancy Round. Any choices submitted earlier will be treated as ‘Null & Void.’

Candidates who will be allotted seats in the Special Stray Vacancy Round will have to report at the allotted institute and join the seat with their original documents within the stipulated time mentioned in the schedule.

The refundable security deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in the Special Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited.

The list of candidates who have been allotted seats in the Special Stray Vacancy Round will be shared with state counselling authorities, and such candidates will be debarred from taking admission in the Special Stray Vacancy Round of state counselling.

Candidates participating in the Special Stray Vacancy Round will have to furnish an undertaking with respect to the allotment of seats at the time of Choice Filling on MCC portal as under: “I agree to participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round of NEET-UG Counselling, 2025. I affirm that I am not holding any seat in the previous rounds of NEETUG Counselling, 2025 of All India Quota or State Quota I understand that these seats are precious in nature. Hence, if I am allotted a seat during the Special Stray Vacancy Round, I will join the allotted seat. If, due to any reason I do not join the allotted seat my refundable security deposit will be forfeited.”

There are 67 vacant MBBS seats distributed as follows: All India-20; Deemed/ Paid Seats Quota- 39; Employees State Insurance Scheme(ESI)-1; Non-Resident Indian-5; Open Seat Quota-2. Category wise seat distribution is as follows: BC- 4, BC PH -1, EW- 3, OP- 53, SC- 5, ST-1.

Schedule of Special Stray Round (for MBBS/ BDS & B.Sc (Nursing) seats is as follows: Registration facility will be available up to 3 pm on 20.12.2025. Payment facility will be available up to 6 pm on 20.12.2025. Choice Filling can be done up to 12 Noon of 21.12.2025. Choice Locking will be available from 4 pm of 20th December 2025 till 12 noon of 21st December, 2025.

Result will be published on 23rd December, 2025. Reporting at allotted Colleges can be done during 24th December 2025 up to 5 pm on 31st December, 2025.

Schedule of Round 5 for BDS/B.SC (Nursing) seats: Registration facility will be available from 1.1.2026 up to 9 am on 2.1.2026. Payment facility will be available from 10 am on 1.1.2026 up to 11 am on 2.1.2026. Choice Filling can be done from 1.1.2026 up to 1 pm of 2.1.2026. Choice Locking can be done from 8 am on 2.1.2026 up to 1 pm of 2.1.2026

Result will be published on 3rd January, 2026. Reporting at allotted Colleges can be done during 4th January, 2026 and 5 pm on 10th January, 2026.
