Applications have been invited for admission to the various M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at * Bhilai * Bhubaneswar * Bombay * Delhi * Dhanbad * Gandhinagar * Guwahati * Hyderabad * Indore * Jodhpur * Kanpur * Kharagpur * Madras * Mandi * Palakkad * Patna Roorkee * Ropar* Tirupati * Varanasi.
Admissions will be based on the Score in the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2021. Only those who have qualified in JAM 2021 and whose names appear in the Merit List will be eligible to apply for admission to any of the Academic Programmes listed in the JAM-2021 Admission Brochure Admission Link of https://jam.iisc.ac.in/.
Admission to all Institutes will be through a common JAM admission process. Based on the test paper(s) qualified, an applicant can apply to one or more academic programs covered under that test paper(s), subject to fulfillment of the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and the Eligibility Requirements (ERs) of the Admitting Institutes. Those who have appeared/ are due for appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2021 and have qualified in JAM 2021, can apply for provisional admission subject to completion of all parts of their final examination by the date of registration of the Admitting Institute and submission of proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility by September 30, 2021.
Application: Applications can be submitted at https://joaps.iisc.ac.in/ latest by 20.5.2020. The application fee for Admission is Rs.600/- for all candidates. The fee must be paid online only using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
First Admission List for each program will be announced on June 15, 2021, at http://jam.iisc.ac.in/ or by SMS/Email. Once an offer is received, Applicants can log into http://joaps.iisc.ac.in and choose one of the following three options:
* Accept and Freeze: Applicant accepts the offered seat and would not like to upgrade to higher preferences, if any, in the subsequent rounds (if applicable). The applicant also will not be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds (if any).
* Accept with Upgrade: Applicant accepts the offered seat and would like to upgrade to higher preferences in the subsequent rounds (if any).
* Reject and Quit: Applicant rejects the offered seat and would not like to continue in the admission process of JAM 2021. The seat offered to the Applicant would be cancelled and the candidate will not be considered further in the admission process.
For 'Accept and Freeze'/'Accept with Upgrade' decisions, the applicant has to pay online, 'Seat Booking Fee' of Rs.10000/- for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category and Rs.5000/- for SC/ST/PwD category using credit card/debit card/net banking. The Seat Booking Fee will be transferred to the Admitting Institute and will be adjusted against the Institute Fee at the time of Admission.
For the 'Reject and Quit' decision, the applicants will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile number. The OTP has to be entered to confirm the decision.
