Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala (IFTK), Vellimon West PO, Kundara, Kollam-691511; established in Technical Collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), managed by Centre for Continuing Education Kerala and affiliated to University of Kerala has invited applications for admission to the four-years full time Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Fashion Design Program for 2025-26.

Eligibility: Applicant should have passed 12th Standard Examination from any recognised board of Education. 

Selection: Admissions to Bachelor of Design Degree course (B.Des) -Fashion Design will be based on the performance in an Aptitude Test conducted by LBS Centre for Science and Technology for IFTK. 

Aptitude test comprises General Ability test & Creative Ability Test. 

General Ability Test will have questions from (i) Quantitative Ability (ii) Communication Ability (iii) English Comprehension (iv) Analytical Ability and (v) General Knowledge and Current Affairs. 

The Creative Ability Test (CAT) is aimed at judging the skill, power of observation, innovation and design ability of the candidate including candidate’s use of colour and illustration.

Application: Applications can be submitted online latest by 31.5.2025 at https://iftk.ac.in/ or at https://lbsapplications.kerala.gov.in/iftk2025/ as per the guidelines available there. Prospectus is also available here. Those appearing for the qualifying examination in 2025 an also apply. 

Application fee is Rs.1500/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST) which can be paid online. 

Entrance Examination will be conducted in the 2nd Week of June 2025 at Centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulum and Kozhikode. Examination date will be announced later. 

Only those who qualify in the Aptitude Test and find place in the rank list will be considered for admission. There are 60 seats for the Program. Seats are reserved for EWS/SEBC/SC/ST. Details are given in the Prospectus.

Semester Tuition fee is Rs.48000/-. Candidates have to pay a registration fee of Rs.2000/- and a Security deposit (refundable) of Rs.5000/- at the time of admission. 

Classes will commence in the first week of July 2025.
