Applications have been invited the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, for admission to the 2-year Programme in Fashion Designing and Garment Technology (FDGT), for 2022-23 being conducted at the 42 Government Institute of Fashion Designing (GIFD) and 94 Government approved Private Fashion Designing and Garment Technology (FDGT) Institutes across Kerala.

There will be public examination at the end of the first year and the second year. Those successfully completing the course will be given the Certificate in Fashion Designing & Garment Technology under Kerala Government Technical Examination (KGTE) scheme. 

Eligibility: Applicant should have passed the SSLC/Equivalent with eligibility for higher studies. There is no upper age limit for admissions.

Application fee is Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST). The amount can be paid online.

There are separate application links for Government institutions and Private institutions. 

Admissions will be as per the list prepared by considering the Grades received in the SSLC/equivalent examination.
