Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed premier Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ Company of Govt. of India, has invited application from eligible Graduates in Engineering and Diploma holders for undergoing one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.

Graduate Apprentices (Category-I) will be selected in the disciplines of (i) Electrical & Electronics Engg. (12 nos) (ii) Mechanical Engg. (20) (iii) Electronics & Communication Engg. (6) (iv) Civil Engg. (14) (v) Computer Science/ Information Technology (5) (vi) Fire & Safety Engg. (4) (vii) Marine Engg. (4) (viii) Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding (4) - Total 69. Stipend per month will be Rs. 12,000/-

Educational Qualifications for Graduate Apprentices: Degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline or Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above. 

Technician (Diploma) Apprentices (Category-II) will be selected in the disciplines of (i) Electrical Engg. (15) (ii) Mechanical Engg. (20) (iii) Electronics Engg. (8) (iv) Instrumentation Technology (4) (v) Civil Engg. (10) (vi) Computer Engg. (5) (vii) Commercial Practice (9) - Total 71. Stipend per month will be Rs. 10,200/-

Educational Qualifications Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Commercial Practice - Diploma in Commercial Practice. For all others: Diploma in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline. 

Those having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications should submit Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority.

Applicant should be domicile of Kerala.  Applicants should have passed the qualifying course during 2020,2021,2022,2023 or 2024.

Age: Above 18 years as on 31.08.2024

Reservation of vacancies: Government of India Directives on reservation will be applicable for SC/ST/ OBC / PwBD.

Minimum physical standards: As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if any. 

Duration of training: The duration of Apprenticeship training will be one year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973. 

Registration and Submission of Application: The apprenticeship registration/application-submissions has to be done through https://nats.education.gov.in/.

Those who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 in any Government or Public Sector or Private Organisation are not eligible to apply.
