Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), has invited application from eligible ITI /Vocational certificate holders, for undergoing one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

ITI Trade Apprentice positions (Total 299), are available in the following trades: Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (Mech), Draughtsman (Civil), Painter (General)/Painter (Marine), Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Sheet Metal Worker, Ship Wright Wood/Carpenter/Wood Work Technician, Mechanic Diesel, Pipe Fitter /Plumber, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Mechanic/Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician, Marine Fitter. Stipend per month will be Rs. 8,000/-.

Technician (Vocational) Apprentice positions (Total 8) are available in the following disciplines:  Accounting & Taxation/Accounts Executive, Basic Nursing and Palliative Care/General Duty Assistant, Customer Relationship Management/ Office Operation Executive, Electrical & Electronic Technology / Electrician Domestic Solution, Food & Restaurant Management/ Craft Baker. Stipend per month is Rs. 9,000/-

Eligibility: (i) ITI Trade Apprentices- Pass in Xth standard, pass in ITI (National Trade Certificate - NTC) in any one of the trades specified in Table I - A of the Notification (ii) Technician (Vocational) Apprentices- A Pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) in the concerned discipline as given in Table I – B of the Notification.

Applicant should be of minimum 18 years of age as on 23.10.2024. Applicant shall be domicile in Kerala. Physical Standards should be as prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992, and the amendments thereof, if any. Reservation shall be applicable as per Government of India Rules.

Short-listing of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trades. In case, same percentage of marks is secured by more than one candidate in prescribed qualification, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through the registered email Id and they will have to appear for verification of certificates. On successful completion of certificate verification to ascertain eligibility requirements, the applicants shall be provisionally considered for selection against the notified seats in the order of merit/reservation, subject to Medical fitness. Selected candidates shall execute Apprenticeship contract agreement through https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in portal.

Application consists of two phases- One Time Registration in the SAP E-recruitment portal of CSL and Submission of application against the Trade/Vocation applicable. Applicants should not submit more than one application. Application once submitted shall be final. There is no application fee.
