Centre for Coaching & Career Planning, Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy (JMI RCA), Jamia Milia University, Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Marg, New Delhi-110025, has invited applications for admission to the Free Coaching (with hostel facility) for Civil Services (Preliminary-Cum-Mains) 2025 for Minorities, SC, ST and Women candidates. 

The free coaching at RCA to include (a) classes on General Studies, Ethics, CSAT and selected optional papers (b) Test series, answer evaluation, discussions and Essay writing practice, which shall form part of the curriculum. The Academy will also conduct mock interviews and classes for current affairs and other support classes for those who qualify for the main examinations of UPSC Civil Services. The Test Series (Preliminary) is tentatively scheduled from January 2025 to April 2025. The Test Series (Mains) is tentatively scheduled from June 2025 to September 2025. 

Eligibility: Applicants should be Minorities, SC, ST or Women candidates who have already completed their Graduation and are eligible to apply for the Civil Services Examination 2025 

Application: Application has to be submitted online at www.jmicoe.in latest by 19th June, 2024. Application fee is Rs. 950/- to be paid online. Applicants can edit the application form online during 21st June to 22nd June 2024. 

Selection: Selection will be based on RCA-JMI Entrance Test followed by Interview. The test is to assess the candidate’s knowledge of general awareness, critical thinking, logical thinking, reasoning and comprehension and written communication.

The Written test would comprise of (i) General Studies (objective type only) on UPSC’s model in English/Hindi/Urdu and will be OMR based test with 100 objective-type questions of 1 marks each and (ii) Essay writing where the candidate must write one essay carrying 60 marks which will also have the option of English/Hindi/Urdu. In Paper I, One-third of the marks will be deducted for a wrong answer. 

Based on the merit obtained from Paper 1 (MCQ test marks), the essays of only the top 900 students will be evaluated 

The Entrance test will be held on 29th June 2024 (Saturday) at Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Malappuram (Kerala). Paper-I: General Studies (Objective Type only) will be from 10 am to 12 noon (OMR sheet would be collected back at 12 noon) and Paper -II: Essay from 12 noon to 1 pm.

Result of the written test will be announced on 20th July 2024. 

Interview (Online only) will be held during 29th July to 12th August 2024. The total marks of the Interview/personality test would be 40. In case of a tie, the higher marks in the interview would be taken as the basis of selection. The younger candidate (age-wise) will get the seat if there is still a tie. 

Final results will be announced on 14th August 2024. Last date for completion of admission will be 19th August 2024. Registration for waiting list candidates will be on 22nd August 2024 and admission for waiting list candidates will be on 28th August 2024. Classes (Orientation) will commence on 30th August 2024. All dates are tentative. Changes if any will be notified at the website. 

There are 100 seats. 5 % of the seats will be reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates as per the reservation policy of Jamia Millia Islamia.
