Kasaragod: The Central University of Kerala (CUK) has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to its PhD Programme in various Departments under a rolling advertisement. The opportunity is exclusively open to candidates holding a valid CSIR-UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), subject to the availability of vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
A two-year/four-semester Master’s degree after a three-year Bachelor’s programme with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
A one-year/two-semester Master’s degree after a four-year Bachelor’s programme with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
A four-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks or an equivalent grade.
An M.Phil. degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
An equivalent qualification from an accredited foreign institution.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), EWS, differently abled, and other categories as per UGC norms.
Eligible candidates may submit their applications online throughout the year through the Samarth Portal, as per the details available on the University website (www.cukerala.ac.in). The current notification window will remain open until 31 December 2026.
The number of PhD vacancies is not fixed and will arise from time to time. Admissions will be made only against available vacancies under eligible PhD supervisors, in accordance with UGC norms and University regulations. Prospective candidates may contact faculty members in the concerned Departments to explore research supervision opportunities.
