Army Institute of Law (AIL) Sector-68, Mohali-160062; has invited applications for the Computer based Law Entrance Test (LET) to be conducted at various Centres all over India for admission to its 5-year BA LL.B. Program for 2025-26.

Seats: There are 120 seats for the Program. Of this 90 seats are for Wards of Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force Personnel (86 seats for wards of Serving or Retired personnel of Indian Army, 01 seat for Wards of Indian Navy and 03 seats for wards of Indian Air Force). There are 6 seats under All India General Category and 24 seats for Punjab Residence Civil Category. 

Eligibility: Applicant should have passed 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, securing at least 45% marks. Those who have obtained 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses. Those appearing for the qualifying examination are allowed to take the AIL LET- 2025 provisionally.

Selection: Admission to 90 seats for wards of Defence Personnel and 06 seats of All India General Category will be done through the Online Law Entrance Test (LET) of two hours’ duration to be conducted by AIL at designated test centres from 9 am to 11 am on 24 May 2025 (Saturday).

LET consists of four sections with objective type questions of a standard expected of 10+2 students from (i) Mental Ability (ii) General Knowledge & Current Affairs (iii) Law Aptitude (iv) General English. Each section will have 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark. There shall be no Negative Marking. Minimum pass percentage is 25% in the entrance test.

Admission to 24 seats in the Punjab Residents Civil Category will be based on 10+2 merit, drawn up by the University designated as per the notification issued by Govt. of Punjab on the basis of centralised online counselling. The eligibility in this category is based on the Domicile of the State of Punjab.

Application-cum- Admission Form with Additional late fee of Rs 1000/-, can be submitted by 11.55 pm on May 01, 2025.
