Indian Maritime University, Chennai, has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration programmes offered at Chennai/Kochi/Visakhapatnam campuses for 2025-26.

There are two Programs: (i) BBA Logistics, Retailing and eCommerce offered at Chennai & Kochi campuses and (ii) BBA Maritime Logistics (apprenticeship embedded) offered at Visakhapatnam campus. Both are 3-year non-residential programmes.

BBA in Logistics, Retailing & E-commerce is focused on providing students with an in-depth understanding of the logistics, retailing, and e-commerce sectors in the shipping industry.

BBA in Maritime Logistics (Apprenticeship embedded) focuses on the business and management aspects of the maritime industry. The programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the logistics and supply chain management of the maritime industry. All student-apprentices will get a minimum monthly stipend of Rs.7000/- and may get apprenticeships in their home region.

Eligibility: The applicant should have (i) a minimum 50% aggregate in the 12th class or equivalent in any stream and (ii) minimum 50% marks in English in the 10th or 12th class examination. For SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks. However, it will not apply to marks in English.

Age Criteria: Maximum age Male: General-25 years, OBC(NCL)-28 years, SC/ST – 30 years. For Female/Transgender: General-27 years, OBC(NCL)-30 years, SC/ST – 32 years. The reference date for calculation of the age will be 01.08.2025.

Selection: Admissions to BBA programmes for the academic year 2025-26 will be through merit of 12th class marks.

All those who qualify for this course will have to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of Certificate Verification.

The registration fee for applying to the BBA programme is Rs. 140/- for candidates from SC/ST category and Rs. 200/- for all others.

If the Class 12 exam results are awaited at the time of online registration, the candidate may choose the “Result Awaited” option. Such candidates must update their status and enter their Class 12 exam scores and upload a scanned copy of the Class 12 exam mark sheet as and when they are published, subject to the last date indicated above.
