All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), an autonomous organization of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, under Delhi University, Gautampuri, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi - 110 076, has invited applications for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy(Ph.D.) Program 2020-21 in various disciplines of Ayurveda at the Institute.

Disciplines available are Ayurved Samhita & Siddhanta; Dravyaguna Vigyan; Kaumarabhritya-Bala Roga; Kayachikitsa; Kriya Sharira; Panchkarma; Prasooti Tantra - Stree Roga; Rasa Shastra Bhaishajya kalpana; Roga Nidana; Shalakya Tantra; Shalya Tantra and Swasthavritta.  

Eligibility: Applicant should have MD/MS in Ayurveda (in concerned subject / Allied subjects as per CCIM norms) or Masters Degree in any of allied/interdisciplinary subjects such as all disciplines under AYUSH, Diet & Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Sciences / M. Pharma (Ayurveda), Pharmacology Sciences / MD or MS in Allopathic Medicine, Medicinal Plant Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Food Science & Technology.

Selection: Admission to Ph.D. Programme is through entrance examination to be held on 15 March 2021, followed by an interview.

Entrance Examination will have 2 parts, with Part-I being Research Methodology & General Knowledge of Ayurveda having 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) carrying one mark each. There shall be no negative marking. Part-II will have 30 subject specific MCQs under which the candidate has applied for Ph.D. Programme, carrying one mark each. Those scoring 50% marks (aggregate in Part-I & Part-II) in entrance examination are eligible for appear in the interview. Interview will carry 20 marks.

UGC-NET/JRF/SLET/AYUSH-NET/CSIR-NET qualified candidates shall be exempted from appearing in entrance examination. However, they will have to appear in the interview.
