Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, has notified the details of the admission to under graduate courses (MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing) in ESIC Medical Education Institutions, to the seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ after allocation to ‘All India Quota’ and the ‘State Government Quota’.

‘Ward of Insured Persons’ under ESI Scheme who meet the laid down eligibility criteria and have applied for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)– 2026 [NEET (UG) can apply for admission to UG course (MBBS / BDS / BSc Nursing) in ESIC Medical / Dental / Nursing Colleges and some Government Medical Colleges under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ for academic session 2026-27 as per admission policy and procedure approved by the Government of India / ESI Corporation.

Eligibility of an insured person for availing benefits under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ for his/her child/children shall be determined as on September 30, 2025. Only a person who is an ‘Insured Person’ under the Act as on September 30, 2025, shall be eligible to avail benefits under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ for his/her child/children.

The age of a dependent male ‘Ward of IP’ for eligibility under the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ should not exceed 21 years as on March 8, 2026. However, the said age limit shall not apply to a dependent unmarried female ‘Ward of IP’, as per the provisions of the ESI Act, 1948.

Provisional number of seats under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs) is as under: MBBS: ESIC Medical College & Hospital at (i) Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka (ii) K.K.Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu (iii) Joka,Kolkata, West Bengal (iv) Gulbarga, Karnataka (v) Faridabad, Haryana (vi) Sanathnagar,Hyderabad (vii) Alwar, Rajasthan (viii) Bihta, Patna, Bihar (ix) Andheri, Mumbai (x) Beltola, Guwahati, Assam (xi) Indore, Madhya Pradesh (xii) Jaipur, Rajasthan (xiii) Ludhiana, Punjab (xiv) Naroda, Gujarat (xv) Noida, Uttar Pradesh (xvi) Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh 25 (xvii) Government Medical College, Coimbatore,Tamil Nadu (xviii) Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College, Ner Chowk, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh (xix) Government Medical College, Kollam, Paripally. Infrastructure of erstwhile proposed ESIC Colleges at serial No. (xvii) to (xix) have been transferred to respective State Governments to establish and run these colleges. These colleges contribute seats to the ESIC ‘pool’ of seats for ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ as per terms of MoU for transfer of these colleges. The total number of MBBS seats for IP quota is 695.

BDS: ESIC Dental College, Gulbarga, Karnataka (28 seats)

BSc Nursing at ESIC Nursing Colleges at (i) Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka (ii) Gulbarga, Karnataka (total 60 seats).

The seats in each institution are given in the Notification at https://esic.gov.in/. The number of seats may increase or decrease.

Available seats for ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ in various States will be pooled on ‘All India Basis’ and allotted, amongst the wards of Insured persons (IPs). Reservation policy of the Central Government for SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS etc. will be followed for allotment of seats. Candidates seeking admission under ‘Seats allocated forwards of insured persons (IPs)’ will have to fulfil the Minimum eligibility criteria for admission as per MCC/NTA/NEET/NMC/DCI/INC regulations; Qualified in NEET UG 2026 and must have a valid ‘Ward of Insured Person Certificate’, issued by ESIC.

Candidates will be allotted seats, based on their ‘merit cum preference of Institution, through a centralized ‘online’ counseling to be conducted by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for the ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ as per schedule to be provided at https://mcc.nic.in/ after the declaration of result of NEET UG 2026. Candidates must log-in and register themselves for the MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing seats under ‘Seats allocated for wards of insured persons (IPs)’ in ESIC Medical /Dental/Nursing Colleges as per instructions given on the website. Candidates must visit https://esic.gov.in/ and https://mcc.nic.in/ regularly for further details.

Issue of ward of IP Certificate: All candidates desirous of applying under IP quota must have valid ‘Ward of IP certificate’ for 2026-27 from ESI Corporation (ESIC). To get IP Certificate, Candidates have to apply on-line at https://esic.gov.in/, latest by 23.59 hrs on 28.05.2026. Candidates must upload all the required documents in the online application as given in the notification.

A system generated ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ will be available to download after approval of competent authority. Candidates can track the status [(i) Issued; or (ii) Rejected] of the certificate on the ESIC website using the username and password. In the event of issue, the certificate in PDF format would be visible to the candidate and printout can be taken after downloading the certificate. In the event of rejection, the reason would be displayed.

The last date for issue of ‘Ward of IP Certificate’ is 31.05.2026.

Any change in date would be published on the ESIC website.
