Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, Kerala-695 011, an Institution of National Importance, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India; has notified the admission for academic session, July 2024. 

Applications have been invited for admission to the following academic programs of the Institute: (i) PhD in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Biomaterial Science and Technology, Medical Sciences and Health Sciences (Only JRF holders of UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT or holders of MPhil degree offered by SCTIMST need to apply) (ii) PhD (institute fellowships -3 nos.) for candidates belonging to ST communities (iii) Integrated PhD (MD-PhD, DM/MCh-PhD) - only MD/DM/MCh residents of SCTIMST are eligible to apply (iv) MTech Biomedical Engineering (v) Master of Public Health (MPH) (vi) Diploma in Public Health (DPH).

Minimum Educational Qualifications for Admission to Ph.D Program is as follows: (i) Physical Sciences: Post graduate degree in Physics (All branches) (ii) Chemical Sciences: Post graduate degree in Chemistry (All branches) (iii) Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences: Post graduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences (Physiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, Bioinformatics, Plant sciences etc.) / Dentistry (iv) Bioengineering: Post graduate degree in Polymer Engineering/Technology, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Biotechnology, Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or any other Post Graduate Engineering degree holders whose research work is feasible at SCTIMST (v) Biomaterial Science and Technology: MPhil (Biomedical Technology), Post graduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Biotechnology or Veterinary Science (vi) Health Sciences: Post graduate degree in Modern Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary Sciences, Demography, Economics, Sociology, Social Work, Political Science, Business Management (MBA), Public Administration, and Statistics. Other post graduate degrees may be approved by the Academic Committee after examining the merits of the suggestion.

Application can be submitted online at https://www.sctimst.ac.in latest by 31.03.2024. Application fee can be paid online. 

Entrance examinations will be held online (Computer Based Test) at Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. 

Reservation in selection will be as per Govt. of India policy.
