New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has announced an ambitious push into the future of SUVs with the unveiling of its Vision Series, a collection of four new concept SUVs revealed at the company's Independence Day event. The lineup includes the Vision S, Vision T, Vision X, and Vision SXT, each targeting distinct segments of the Indian SUV market and reflecting the company’s commitment to modern design, versatile powertrains, and advanced technology.

Vision S: The Future of the Bolero

The Vision S concept is widely expected to serve as the blueprint for the next-generation Bolero new model. This compact SUV stands out with a rugged, boxy exterior and a premium, tech-forward interior. It features dual 12-inch digital displays, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and spacious cabin comfort.

Built on Mahindra’s advanced NU_IQ modular platform, Vision S supports an array of powertrain options, including petrol (1.2L turbo), diesel (1.5L), hybrid, and electric variants, with flexibility for both front-wheel and all-wheel drive. Measuring under 4,000 mm long with a 2,665 mm wheelbase, Vision S blends toughness with urban practicality. This model is the only one among the Vision Series for which detailed specifications have been released to date.

Other Vision Series Models

Vision T: Evolving from the electric Thar concept, Vision T is an off-road-oriented SUV designed for adventure lovers. It focuses on electric and hybrid powertrains and boasts rugged styling elements such as chunky tires and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Specific technical details are yet to be announced.

Vision X: A sporty, urban-focused compact crossover, Vision X combines sleek styling with a high-tech cabin appealing to city buyers. While detailed specifications are pending, the concept highlights an emphasis on infotainment and modern comforts.

Vision SXT: Targeting utility and adventure, the Vision SXT is an adventure-ready pickup truck concept. With a larger cabin and a rear deck designed for extra cargo and dual spare wheels, it evokes Mahindra’s off-road heritage. Technical specifications remain under wraps.

Roadmap to Production and Pricing

Mahindra plans to launch all four Vision Series SUVs by 2027. The company expects the new Bolero price, linked to the Vision S, to be announced closer to launch and to remain competitive to retain the model’s value-focused appeal. Pricing and specifications for the Vision T, Vision X, and Vision SXT models will be disclosed nearer their respective launches.
