Mahindra XUV 7XO launching Jan 5, 2026! Discover its 540° camera, in-car theater, new design, and triple screens. Pre-bookings are live – Click to learn more!

Mahindra is steadily building anticipation for the debut of its upcoming SUV, the XUV 7XO, scheduled for January 5, 2026. Even though the official launch is still a short while away, the Indian automaker has begun releasing a series of teasers that highlight key updates and features. Adding to the excitement, pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO are already open.
One of the standout revelations from the latest teaser is the introduction of a 540-degree camera system. This is a major upgrade over the 360-degree setup seen on the current XUV700, promising enhanced visibility and improved ease during tight parking and low-speed maneuver.
Mahindra has also confirmed the presence of an in-car theater mode, designed especially for rear-seat occupants. This feature allows passengers to stream content on their personal devices, all controlled through the brand’s Adrenox+ software platform, which integrates infotainment, connectivity, and vehicle intelligence.
Fresh design inside and out
The XUV 7XO showcases noticeable styling updates at both ends. The lighting signature has been reworked and appears inspired by Mahindra’s newer electric models, such as the XEV 9S. Updates include:
- Redesigned LED daytime running lights
- Projector headlamps
- A striking rear profile with inverted L-shaped LED elements linked by a full-width light bar
These changes are complemented by new exterior paint options, dual-tone alloy wheels, updated bumpers, and a grille finished with vertical chrome accents. The new XUV 7XO badging is prominently displayed on the bonnet and tailgate.
Cabin gets a major upgrade
Inside, Mahindra introduces its triple-screen dashboard layout for the first time in an internal combustion SUV. This setup is paired with a panoramic sunroof, adding to the premium appeal.
Other interior highlights include:
- A new triple-tone dashboard theme
- Brown and tan steering wheel finish
- Improved upholstery and redesigned door trims
- Updated air vents and center console
The teased model appears to be the top-spec AX7L variant, which is expected to offer features such as Boss Mode seating, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and enhanced material quality throughout the cabin.
Familiar engines, proven performance
Under the hood, the XUV 7XO is expected to retain the same powertrain options as the outgoing XUV700:
2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
2.2-litre diesel engine
Both engines will be offered with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, along with the option of an all-wheel-drive system, ensuring versatility across driving conditions.
