Mahindra launches the new Thar 2025 starting at Rs 9.99 lakh. Explore refreshed design, advanced tech, safety upgrades, and multiple engine options for urban and adventure driving.

New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday unveiled the new 'Thar 2025', priced from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated SUV comes with refreshed design elements, advanced comfort features and smart technology aimed at enhancing both urban commuting and weekend adventures.
In a statement, the company described the 'Thar' as “more than just an SUV,” calling it a lifestyle symbol embraced by a community of over 3 lakh owners.
''This iconic SUV is engineered to redefine urban commuting and elevate rugged weekend adventures, the company added.
The new model is equipped with a 26.03 cm HD infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with Type-C USB ports for seamless smartphone integration. Safety upgrades include a tyre direction monitoring system that provides real-time orientation data.
For off-road enthusiasts, the second-generation Adventure Stats feature offers detailed data such as altimeter readings, racing tab, trip meter, steering direction, outside temperature and pressure.
Engine options include multiple petrol and diesel variants paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic torque converter transmissions, available in both rear-wheel-drive and 4X4 configurations.

Additional features include rear AC vents for second-row passengers, a sliding armrest and dead pedal for driver comfort, door-mounted power windows, a rear-view camera, and an internally operated fuel lid for ease of refuelling.
