Vivo has unveiled its highly anticipated X200 Ultra smartphone, which promises to revolutionize mobile photography with its new and groundbreaking external lens co-developed with Zeiss. The lens, which works seamlessly with the Vivo X200 Ultra, is expected to offer DSLR-like photography capabilities.
Vivo Product Manager confirmed in a Weibo post that the Vivo X200 Ultra will be available with an optional Photography Kit. The teaser image shared shows the kit in a sleek black colour, featuring a retro camera design. This accessory is expected to launch alongside the Vivo X200 Ultra.
200MP super-telephoto lens
The 200MP super telephoto lens provides photographers with a powerful 200mm F2.3 optical zoom capability (equivalent to an 8.7x optical zoom). This external lens reportedly utilizes 13 high-transmittance glass lenses arranged in a Kepler structure, designed to deliver outstanding clarity and precision for both amateur and professional photographers. The rear camera module, featuring OIS support, will include an 85mm APO telephoto lens, a 14mm ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 35mm humanistic documentary lens. The new lens expansion extends the phone's telephoto capabilities by an impressive 2.35X, enabling users to shoot with long-range detail.
The kit offers various zoom options, ranging from 800mm (35X) to 1600mm (70X), ensuring users can capture even the smallest details from a distance.
Meanwhile, Vivo X200 Ultra will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and offer support for both wireless and bypass charging.
Vivo has confirmed that the X200 Ultra, along with the X200s, will be officially launched on April 21 in China. However, it remains unclear when the phone will be launched in India. Along with the smartphones, Vivo will also unveil the Vivo Pad 5 Pro, Vivo Pad SE, and the Vivo Watch 5. The launch event is scheduled for 7 pm local time (4:30 pm IST).
