Sony Interactive Entertainment and Rockstar Games have officially announced two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers to celebrate the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI. The themed accessories were revealed during PlayStation’s recent State of Play broadcast, featuring two distinct variants: the Black Limited Edition and the White Limited Edition. Designed around the coastal setting of Vice City, the white model presents the bright, sun-soaked daybreak along the coast, whilst the black edition embodies the city’s vibrant neon nightlife.

Design Nuances and Tactile Details

Both models incorporate striking visual and physical enhancements that distinguish them from standard PlayStation 5 peripherals. Each controller features a shimmering, colour-shifting finish blending pink, purple, and neon blue hues to mimic Vice City’s iconic sunset palette. The hardware includes custom palm-tree graphics moulded directly into the side grips for enhanced tactile feedback, alongside a stylised "VI" emblem printed across the touchpad, pink directional buttons, and etched official branding on the rear casing.

Immersive Haptics for Vice City Action

Beyond purely aesthetic upgrades, the limited-edition controllers are tailored to leverage the console's signature hardware features during gameplay. The DualSense controllers utilise advanced haptic feedback and dynamic adaptive triggers to reflect in-game actions directly into players' hands. These haptic profiles are tuned to respond dynamically to driving mechanics, weapon feedback, and environmental atmospheric sensations throughout protagonists Jason and Lucia’s story.

Pre-Orders, Pricing, and Availability

Gaming enthusiasts will be able to secure the limited-edition accessories ahead of the game's autumn release. Pre-orders are scheduled to open on 10 September 2026 at 10:00 am local time across the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America. Both the black and white variants carry a recommended retail price of $84.99 (approx. Rs. 8041). The White Limited Edition will be sold through PlayStation Direct and selected global retailers, whereas the Black Limited Edition will remain exclusive to PlayStation Direct in most major markets.

High Demand Ahead of November Launch

The controllers are slated for official release on 19 November 2026, coinciding directly with the worldwide launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Given the strict stock limitations imposed on previous special-edition DualSense drops, units are expected to sell out rapidly upon pre-order activation.
