OnePlus has officially confirmed the India launch of the OnePlus Nord 6 5G, the successor to the Nord 5, with several key features already revealed ahead of the unveiling.

The smartphone will be available via Amazon, signalling a wide online rollout at launch. In terms of design, OnePlus is introducing a refreshed look along with three colour options: Holographic Quick Silver, Fresh Mint and Low Reflection Pitch Black.

The company is positioning the Nord 6 5G as a major upgrade over its predecessor, particularly in performance, battery life and display quality.

Flagship-level performance, display and battery

The OnePlus Nord 6 5G is geared towards high-performance users, especially gamers. The device will support sustained 165 FPS gameplay in popular titles such as Call of Duty Mobile, BGMI and Free Fire Max. It also features a Touch Reflex Chip offering up to 3200Hz instant touch sampling for ultra-fast response.

Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, bringing flagship-grade processing capabilities to the mid-premium segment.

One of the biggest highlights is the massive 9000mAh battery, which is expected to be the largest in its segment. The phone will support 80W fast charging, along with bypass charging for reduced heat during gaming sessions, and 27W wired reverse charging.

On the display front, the Nord 6 5G will feature a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED ‘Sunburst HDR’ panel. It supports up to 1800 nits high brightness mode and a peak HDR brightness of 3600 nits.

Additional display features include 3840Hz PWM dimming, 2 nits minimum brightness and Aqua Touch 2.0 for better touch response in wet conditions.

The device will also come equipped with a G2 Wi-Fi chip with support for 5G Advanced, enabling up to three times faster peak data speeds in partnership with telecom providers like Reliance Jio.

More details, including pricing and camera specifications, are expected to be announced at the official launch event.
