The countdown for OnePlus’ next flagship is nearly over. Following weeks of speculation and leaks, the company has officially revealed the OnePlus 15 5G launch date in China. A post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will debut in China on October 27 at 7 pm local time (4.30 pm IST). Alongside the flagship, OnePlus will also introduce the Ace 6, a performance-focused handset teased only briefly until now. Both devices are already listed on OnePlus’ official storefronts in China, with OnePlus 15 pre-order China options now live.

True to OnePlus tradition, the company has begun teasing the OnePlus 15 display features. The flagship is confirmed to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.

Utilising BOE’s third-generation Oriental screen technology, the panel reportedly has ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels on all sides. OnePlus claims the display consumes 10 per cent less power than the OnePlus 13 and offers 30 per cent longer durability. HDR support and high-end visual standards are also expected, promising an immersive viewing experience.

Leaks circulating on Weibo suggest the OnePlus 15 specifications include a slightly larger 6.78-inch display with BOE’s X3 AMOLED technology and LTPO support, enabling a dynamic refresh rate from 1Hz to 165Hz. The device is rumoured to support Dolby Vision, Pro XDR, and reach a peak brightness of 1,800 nits.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Memory configurations are expected to range from 12GB to 16GB, with storage options up to 1TB. OnePlus may also introduce the Wind Chi Game Kernel 2.0, designed to enhance gaming performance.

The OnePlus 15 camera features include a triple rear setup with three 50-megapixel sensors. The main shooter may use Sony’s LYT-700 sensor with optical image stabilisation, complemented by two Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensors for ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, offering 3.5x optical zoom.

The company has teased an Original Dune colourway, while other OnePlus 15 color options may be unveiled at launch. The handset is also expected to include IP68 water and dust resistance.

A standout leak points to a 7,300mAh battery, substantially larger than typical flagship devices. Reports indicate support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The unit may feature a third-generation glacier battery designed for improved efficiency and longevity, boosting the OnePlus 15 battery life significantly.

Additional leaked specifications include dual speakers, a large vibration motor, ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, enhanced cooling, multi-function NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port.
