OnePlus confirmed that the 15 will be the first OnePlus phone to run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The cutting-edge chipset is built on TSMC’s 3nm (N3P) process, and claims roughly 23 % better performance along with 20 % greater efficiency compared to the previous generation.
The smartphone is likely to sport a 165 Hz refresh rate display, a major step up from previous models. Combined with the high-end chipset, this should deliver a fluid experience, especially in gaming. OnePlus has also confirmed that the device will ship with ColorOS 16 (based on Android 16) in India.

While the company has avoided revealing full specifications or pricing at the summit, leaks suggest that the OnePlus 15 is slated to launch in October 2025. For the Indian market, OnePlus has confirmed it will be available here with the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
