Designed to resemble ordinary glasses, the devices offer up to six hours of mixed-use battery life and up to 30 hours with the portable charging case.

Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Meta’s newest smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Display glasses, further expanding the company’s Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses lineup and continuing its push to integrate AI into everyday accessories.
What makes Ray‑Ban Meta Display glasses different from others?
Billed as Meta’s most advanced AI glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Display features a 600-by-600 pixel colour display embedded in the right lens, allowing users to glance at messages, photo previews, translations, and Meta AI tools without blocking their view. Positioned off to the side, the display activates only during brief interactions and is supported by a six-microphone array, open-ear speakers with Bluetooth, and a 12-megapixel camera with 3x zoom and an in-lens viewfinder.
Designed to resemble ordinary glasses, Ray‑Ban Meta smart glasses offer up to six hours of mixed-use battery life and up to 30 hours with the portable charging case. Each pair comes with the Meta Neural Band, a wrist-worn device that reads muscle signals and converts them into commands for the glasses. It replaces conventional buttons, dials, and touchscreens, allowing users to scroll, click, and potentially compose messages through subtle hand movements.
Ray‑Ban Meta price?
The new Ray-Ban Meta glasses are priced at $799 (about ₹70,422), while the entry-level Ray-Ban smart glasses start at $379 (about ₹33,404).
"Our goal is to build great-looking glasses that deliver personal superintelligence and a feeling of presence using realistic holograms," Zuckerberg said while showcasing the new Ray‑Ban Meta AI glasses at the company’s annual developers conference. "These ideas combined are what we call the metaverse."
Zuckerberg also predicted that AI-infused smart glasses will be the "next major computing platform," eventually replacing smartphones.
What other models and features did Meta showcase?
The launch also included the Oakley Meta Vanguard, part of a performance-focused category of AI glasses designed for athletic use. Priced at $499, the Oakley Meta Vanguard features action-ready cameras, fitness app integrations, immersive audio, and real-time tracking for workouts.
Meta highlighted that the glasses build on its 2019 partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban and Oakley, and noted that Ray-Ban Meta glasses have become the top-selling AI glasses globally, with millions of units sold since launch. Features include hands-free photo and video capture, digital assistant access, and real-time language translation, further emphasising Meta’s vision to create a wearable AI ecosystem.
