Motorola has expanded its Edge lineup in India with the launch of the new Motorola Edge 70, bringing a premium design, triple 50MP rear cameras and a large 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The smartphone is now available through online and offline retail channels across the country and is offered in three Pantone-curated colour options, targeting users looking for a slim yet powerful Android handset.

Motorola Edge 70 performance and software

Powering the Motorola Edge 70 is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of uMCP internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 16 out of the box. Sensor support on the device includes a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, SAR sensor, sensor hub and a magnetometer that doubles as an e-compass.

In the camera department, the Motorola Edge 70 sports a 50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. It is joined by a 50MP ultra-wide camera that offers a 120-degree field of view, an f/2.0 aperture, autofocus support and macro functionality. The third rear unit is a dedicated 3-in-1 light sensor. On the front, the smartphone features a 50MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The Motorola Edge 70 features a 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a Super HD resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, delivering a pixel density of 446ppi. The screen offers a 94.6% screen-to-body ratio and supports HDR10+ content.

Motorola has included Pantone Validated Colours and Pantone SkinTone Validation, along with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and 10-bit colour depth that produces over a billion shades. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The display also supports Water Touch and uses a 20:9 aspect ratio for an immersive viewing experience.

The handset packs a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 with 68W TurboPower wired charging support, along with 15W wireless charging, aiming to balance fast top-ups with everyday convenience.

The Motorola Edge 70 measures 159.9 x 74.3 x 5.99mm and weighs 159g, making it one of the slimmer phones in its segment. It features a USB Type-C port based on the USB 2.0 standard. The smartphone comes with both IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering underwater protection and resistance against high-pressure water exposure.

Motorola Edge 70 colours and Moto AI features

Motorola is offering the Edge 70 in PANTONE Bronze Green, Pantone Gadget Grey and PANTONE Lily Pad colour options. The phone also introduces Moto AI tools such as Next Move, Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention 2.0, Remember This with Recall and Co-pilot, which are designed to assist users with productivity, awareness and contextual reminders.

The Motorola Edge 70 has been launched at an introductory price of ₹29,999, while the regular price is set at ₹34,999.
