Expect a new "Overload" mode, refined movement, 30 weapons, and a super-powered anti-cheat system

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is launching an early access and open beta phase ahead of its full release on November 14, 2025. Gamers will get the opportunity to test multiplayer and Zombies modes, featuring updated gameplay systems and a significantly enhanced anti-cheat setup.
Beta Phases and Timings
The beta runs in two stages: Early Access from October 2 to October 5, 2025, and Open Beta from October 5 to October 8. Players who pre-order or subscribe to Xbox Game Pass get Early Access, while the Open Beta is free for all on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
For Indian gamers, the beta phases start nightly at 10:30 PM IST on their respective launch dates, providing convenient playtimes. PC players must enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, which is mandatory for the upgraded RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system.
Gameplay Features
The beta introduces a new game mode called "Overload," where teams fight to carry the Overload Device into enemy zones in a tug-of-war style match. Popular modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint are also included.
Refinements to the Omnimovement system allow smoother and faster action, with new wall jump abilities enabling players to chain jumps and navigate maps more dynamically.
The game launches with 30 weapons, including 16 new ones and returning fan favourites, plus shareable weapon builds to easily swap loadouts amongst friends.
RICOCHET Anti-Cheat Enhancements
Treyarch has upgraded the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system with advanced machine learning to better detect aimbots and wall hacks. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot add hardware-level security, while remote verification from Microsoft Azure servers boosts defences against cheats.
Accounts caught cheating in the beta will face permanent bans across all Call of Duty titles. The layered detection systems will be tested live during the beta to optimise future cheating prevention.
