Apple has filed a lawsuit against YouTube creator Jon Prosser (@FrontPageTech) and tech analyst Michael Ramacciotti, accusing the two of conspiring to access a development iPhone and leak confidential details about its upcoming iOS 26 operating system.

Filed in the US District Court of California, the suit alleges that Prosser and Ramacciotti engaged in a “coordinated scheme” to steal Apple’s trade secrets and profit from them through online content. According to Apple, the duo accessed proprietary information via Ramacciotti’s associate, Ethan Lipnik—an Apple employee at the time—who had access to a development device containing under-wraps iOS features.

Apple claims it first learned of the leak through an anonymous email on April 4, which named both Prosser and Ramacciotti. According to court documents, Ramacciotti allegedly tracked Lipnik’s location while staying at his residence, waited until Lipnik was away, and then used his passcode to access the device. He then reportedly shared the confidential iOS details with Prosser, who used them in a series of YouTube videos.

The three videos in question were uploaded on Prosser’s channel Front Page Tech and included early previews of what was then referred to as iOS 19—now known as iOS 26. The videos, released between January and April 2025, featured leaked designs of the camera app, lock screen, and home screen interface.

Apple says the leak harmed the company and thousands of employees working on the iOS platform. The company also cited an audio message, allegedly sent by Ramacciotti to Lipnik and later handed over to Apple, as part of its evidence.

Prosser, meanwhile, has denied any wrongdoing. In a response posted on X, he said, “That is not how things happened on my end,” adding that he was open to discussing the matter with Apple. In another reply, he stated, “I certainly did not plot to gain access to anyone’s phone.”
