17-year-old female boxer files complaint against coach Ramachandra from the Lions Boxing Club at Bengaluru's Kanteerava Stadium.

A case of sexual harassment has been filed against a boxing coach from the Lions Boxing Club at Bengaluru's Kanteerava Stadium after claims from a 17-year-old female boxer.
The teenager filed the complaint on May 22 with the help of her mother. The student had trained at the Lions Boxing Club for the last 10 years.
The person charged has been recognized as Ramachandra, 50 years old, who was the boxing coach for the girl.
The complainant claimed that the coach had been bothering her daughter for the past four years, with the incidents reportedly escalating in the last five to six months.
The FIR alleges that Ramachandra tried to establish an inappropriate intimacy with the minor and inappropriately touched her several times at Kanteerava Stadium.
The complaint additionally claims that on May 17, while on a boxing competition trip to Chennai, the coach reportedly summoned the underage girl to his private room, inappropriately touched her, forcibly kissed her, and acted unprofessionally.
The complainant also stated that the accused threatened the girl with severe repercussions, allegedly warning her that he would kill her if she revealed the incidents to anyone in her family.
The FIR mentions that a previous complaint concerning the purported harassment was already filed with a committee earlier.
Authorities have officially documented the incident under applicable provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
