Madrid: According to the latest reports, Barcelona forward and former Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero(33) is likely to announce his retirement from football soon after he was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia. The serious condition is said to create irregular heartbeat causing shortness of breath for the person suffering from it. 

During a match against Alves last month, Aguero was taken off the pitch after struggling to breathe. Later, he was taken to hospital for tests before being ruled out of action for at least three months. It was here that he was diagnosed with the condition which limits sporting activities in athletes. 

Following these events, the reports from Spain indicated that the Argentinian is considering hanging up his boots in the coming days.

The rumours were proven right after Barcelona journalist Gerard Romero revealed that Aguero is all set to retire from football due to heart complications and a press conference is scheduled for the coming week. 

However, Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste has denied the rumours that striker Sergio Aguero is about to announce his retirement from football due to a heart condition. He stated that the club will be monitoring next three months of time given by the doctors in evaluating the situation.
