Paris: Manchester City maintained their unbeaten Champions League run with a commanding 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, while Inter Milan kept up their perfect start, and Barcelona battled to a dramatic draw at Club Brugge.

At the Etihad Stadium, Phil Foden produced a standout performance, scoring twice from outside the box. Erling Haaland added his fifth goal of the competition, before Rayan Cherki sealed the victory with a stoppage-time effort. Waldemar Anton netted a consolation for Dortmund.

With 10 points from four matches, City sit fourth at the halfway stage of the league phase.

"We are in a good position, maybe with a win against Leverkusen and a few more we can be in the position to finish in the first eight," City boss Pep Guardiola said to TNT Sports, praising Foden’s performance.

"I would say he is already there (back to his best form). He does not need to get closer. He is already there. It is true we have missed goals and he got two incredible goals."

Inter edge Kairat to stay perfect

Inter Milan made it four wins from four after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kairat Almaty. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring, but Ofri Arad equalised nine minutes into the second half. Carlos Augusto fired home a low strike to restore Inter’s lead and secure the points.

Barca salvage a point in six-goal thriller

Barcelona came from behind three times to draw 3-3 against Club Brugge in Belgium. Their defence struggled as Brugge’s Carlos Forbs scored twice and assisted Nicolo Tresoldi.

Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal, and an own goal by Christos Tzolis rescued Barcelona, who were missing several key players.

"It's a game I think we have to win, but we have to do things a lot better," midfielder Frenkie de Jong told Movistar.

"We have to adjust some things, we know that, we're working on it... if you let in three goals it's difficult to win."

Chelsea held, Newcastle impress

Chelsea narrowly avoided defeat with a 2-2 draw against Qarabag in Baku. Estevao Willian gave the Blues an early lead, but Leandro Andrade levelled before Marko Jankovic converted a penalty. Alejandro Garnacho came off the bench to rescue a point.

"I think the big difference was inside the box," said Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

"Again we conceded silly goals that we could avoid and we could probably finish better with most of the actions that we created."

Newcastle secured a 2-0 home win over Athletic Bilbao, thanks to a powerful header from Dan Burn and a second-half goal by Joelinton.

"Really pleased with today," Newcastle manager Eddie Howe told TNT Sports. "We had a quick turnaround for this game. I don't think it was us at our best but we're in a good position now in this competition."
