Anantapur: In the Duleep Trophy four-day cricket match, Sanju Samson delivered a stunning performance for India D, remaining unbeaten on 101 runs from 95 balls. His century has helped the team post a total of 325 runs for the loss of six wickets against the B team.

Samson's innings included 11 fours and 3 sixes, showcasing his batting prowess. Other notable contributions came from opener Devdutt Padikkal, who scored 50 runs, Srikar Bharat with 52, and Ricky Bhui, who added 56 runs.

Meanwehile Shreyas Iyer continued his dismal form, he was dismissed without scoring, having faced just five balls. Currently, Saurabh Kumar is batting alongside Samson as India D looks to build on their solid foundation.

Iyer's woes

After being ignored for the Bangladesh series, Iyer had a point to prove but he has not been able to lead from the front thus far in the competition. His team yet to earn a point in the tournament.

Rinku Singh is another who is in focus after low returns in the previous game.

Meanwhile, in the contest between India A and India C contest, the selectors will be closely watching players including Agarwal, Parag and Sai Sudharsan. Parag has so far batted confidently in the tournament.

Pacer Prasidh Krishna, making a comeback from injury in the previous round, would be looking to log in a significant number of overs while Shams Mulani will be fancying another match-winning effort in the prevailing conditions.

Ishan Kishan, who made a memorable return to red ball cricket by scoring a hundred for India C, will need another epic knock to garner more attention from the selectors. (With inputs from Agencies)
