Punjab: Punjab Kings produced a dominant batting display to post 254/7 against Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2026 match on Sunday, powered by a record-breaking partnership between Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly.
The duo added 182 runs for the second wicket, the third-150 partnership for PBKS in IPL history, as they took apart the LSG bowling attack after an early setback.
Arya–Connolly partnership drives PBKS total
PBKS lost Prabhsimran Singh early, but Arya and Connolly immediately shifted momentum in favour of the home side with aggressive strokeplay and sustained scoring pressure.

Cooper Connolly: 87 off 46 balls (8 fours, 7 sixes)

It is now behind only:

Arya breaks KL Rahul’s PBKS record
Priyansh Arya also set a franchise milestone, going past KL Rahul for the most sub-20-ball fifties for PBKS.
Arya now has three such rapid half-centuries:
16 balls vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
19 balls vs Chennai Super Kings (previous season)
19 balls vs Lucknow Super Giants (2026)
KL Rahul had previously registered:
14-ball fifty vs Delhi Capitals (2018)
19-ball fifty vs Chennai Super Kings (2019)
In IPL 2026, Arya has scored 211 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 248.23, including two fifties.
