Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have introduced a new team logo ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, unveiling an emblem that the franchise says reflects the spirit of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.

In an official statement, the franchise described the redesign as more than just a visual update, calling it a symbol rooted in regional identity and fan loyalty since the team’s inception.

What the new LSG logo represents

According to the franchise, the new emblem brings together three powerful symbols — Garuda, the Crown and the Elephant — each representing a key value associated with the team and the state.

Garuda signifies courage and ambition, symbolising the team’s fearless approach and determination to rise to new heights.

The Crown reflects pride and responsibility, representing the honour of carrying the expectations of millions of supporters.

The Elephant, placed at the heart of the logo, stands for strength, wisdom, patience and unity — qualities the franchise associates with the people of Uttar Pradesh and the unwavering support of its fan base.

The team emphasised that the new design is intended to capture both competitive spirit and emotional connection with supporters.

Owner Shashwat Goenka reacts

Sharing his thoughts on the rebranding, Shashwat Goenka, Owner of Lucknow Super Giants and Vice Chairman of RPSG Group, said the logo carries deep emotional value.

"This new logo is deeply emotional for us. The people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh welcomed the Super Giants into their hearts from day one. This symbol is a tribute to that love and belief. Garuda reflects our dreams to rise higher. The Crown reflects the pride you place on us every time we take the field. And the Elephant reflects the strength and loyalty that defines this region.”

LSG’s performance last season

Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, LSG finished seventh in the previous IPL season. The team registered six wins and eight losses, ending the campaign with 12 points.
