Kalpetta: Minister Mohammed Riyas addressed a few issues occurring at the Wayanad tragedy site. While addressing the media, he said that “a few miscreants are going around collecting money from people working at the tragedy site under the guise of distributing food.” The Minister called such acts extremely disappointing.
“The volunteers are doing exceptional work. They are cooking tasty and hygienic food. A few problems have been reported and we are looking into it seriously. Going ahead, thorough quality checks will be done when it comes to the food that is being distributed among the rescue workers. The help of the Food Safety department will be sought as well. The volunteers shall not get into unnecessary controversies. Appreciating all the help that has come in so far,” the Minister concluded.
