Kozhikode: The Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters (MBIFL) returns for its sixth edition, bringing together over 400 speakers across various fields to explore the theme Currents of Change. From February 6 to 9, 2025, Kanakakunnu Palace will host a vibrant blend of discussions, performances, and dialogues centered on how change shapes societies, cultures, and economies.
The theme reflects the ongoing evolution of the world around us, driven by demographic shifts, technological advancements, environmental concerns, economic trends, and social movements. These currents of change present both opportunities and challenges, pushing societies to adapt and redefine their traditional structures.
MBIFL 2025 will dive into these dynamics with speakers from diverse fields, including celebrated writer T Padmanabhan, cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, former National Security Advisor MK Narayanan, journalist Barkha Dutt, and renowned director Girish Kasaravalli. Through their insights, the festival will explore how change disrupts, transforms, and reshapes the world we live in.
This year’s festival offers a unique opportunity to engage with the forces that are transforming our societies, sparking conversations that challenge and inspire. With its eclectic mix of voices, MBIFL 2025 promises to be a thought-provoking experience for anyone eager to understand the currents of change that define our time.
