Thrissur: Following his confirmed victory in the Thrissur constituency, NDA candidate Suresh Gopi addressed the media, expressing his gratitude to Lord Guruvayurappan and Mother Lourdes for his success. He emphasised that while some may view his victory as unexpected, it had been foreseen. This triumph not only brings honour not only to him but also to his family, said the actor-politician.
Suresh Gopi acknowledged the crucial role played by the voters in facilitating his success. He emphasised that it is due to their support and trust that this victory came to fruition.
Suresh Gopi is currently leading the race in Thrissur by a comfortable margin of over 73,954 votes, making the constituency a focal point for the BJP in Kerala. His closest contender is LDF's V S Sunilkumar, followed by UDF's K Muraleedharan in third place. Suresh Gopi has bagged 4,05,492 votes whereas Sunilkumar and Muraleedharan have bagged 3,31,538 votes and 3,22,995 votes, respectively as of 3.00 pm.
With Suresh Gopi's massive lead, BJP is most likely to open its account in Kerala for the first time in history.
