Vadakara: LDF candidate KK Shylaja has lodged a complaint with state election commission alleging that character assassination attempts are being carried out through fake campaigns with the knowledge and support of UDF candidate Shafi Parambil . In the complaint, Shylaja says that, cyber attack is being unleashed against her by UDF supporters to taint her image before the public to reap electoral benefits. “This can not be done without the silent blessing and support of UDF candidate Shafi Parambil’, she said.

In her complaint, Shylaja points out that photographs are being morphed, dialogues are edited and fake cards of media houses are being widely spread to create a bad impression among the voters. She also has said that, though she had lodged a police complaint earlier, no step was being taken by the police.

“An attempt was made to tarnish my image by forging  letterhead of religious leader AP Aboobakker Musliar. In yet another operation, a fake news card of Mathrubhumi online was being released in which I was reportedly said something in connection with Love Jihad. The fact is that, neither had I made such a statement nor Mathrubhumi released a card in connection with this’, said Shylaja.

“Some photographs are being used by cutting out some individuals and adding  up some persons who were not there in the original picture . A speech delivered during a seminar is being used by the opposition by distorting the facts. Some portions of the interview given to a private channel is being used by the UDF with ulterior motives’, Shylaja said. “By doing so, the UDF wants to paint me as a communalist’,.

It is also said that some pictures in which she was seen sitting or standing near with chief minister Pinaryi , were morphed and spread among the public with some sleazy comments intended to malign her. Fake cards are also  being widely used among the public. She alleged that, UDF candidate has been indulging in statements to influence the muslim voters. Fake messages are being spread through family groups against her, she said.
