Kozhikode: Kozhikode sitting MP M K Raghavan’s huge victory paved the way for a Manali trip  to Congress leader K C Abu. He had placed a bet with a friend in the town that Raghavan would win with a lead of over 1 Lakh. 

Since the friend was not ready for betting involving money, Abu went for another way. They decided to shave their heads. However, when the both realised that they do not have enough hair to be shaven off, they dropped the idea. Finally, they decided on the Manali trip. 

As the three-time MP from Kozhikode in his fourth consecutive victory won with his biggest ever lead of 146176 votes, Abu also won the chance to make a trip to the popular tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. The date for the trip will be decided by the friend who lost the bet. 

It is Abu’s habit to place bets during elections. Abu, also the former Kozhikode DCC president, says no one was ready to bet on Raghavan.
