Kochi: In the controversial Vadakara ‘Kaffir’ jibe case, the High Court on Friday directed the police to submit a report on the measures they have taken in the case within two weeks. The court has directed the Vadakara Rural SP to file the report.
Main accused and MSF leader Muhammed Kasim had earlier filed a private complaint, seeking to find the real culprit behind the spread of the fake screenshot done in his name. The court was hearing the petition when it directed the police to file the report.
Kasim had pointed out that he was the first to file a complaint in the incident. However, the police booked a case against him, he added in his complaint.
Meanwhile, the police had recorded statements of former MLA and CPM State Committee member K K Lathika.
