SpaceX CEO Elon Muskās company assured that there were no dangers to nearby communities and urged the public to avoid approaching the site
A SpaceX rocket exploded during testing in Texas on Wednesday night, producing a large fireball visible across the sky.
The company reported that the Starship āexperienced a major anomalyā at around 11 p.m. while undergoing preparations for its tenth flight test at Starbase, SpaceXās launch facility located at the southern tip of Texas.
āA safety clear area around the site was maintained throughout the operation and all personnel are safe and accounted for,ā SpaceX said in a statement posted on social platform X.
SpaceX CEO Elon Muskās company assured that there were no dangers to nearby communities and urged the public to avoid approaching the site.
The company added it is coordinating with local authorities to manage the aftermath of the explosion.
