Trishuli, Nepal: Rescue operations continued in flood-hit areas of Nepal after catastrophic flash floods left hundreds dead or missing. Survivors rescued from the affected areas were airlifted to an army camp as teams continued searching for those unaccounted for.

The floods, triggered by a glacier collapse in Tibet, affected border areas of Nepal and China. Nepal Police have reported at least 165 deaths and 826 people missing, while Nepal’s Tourism Board said hundreds of foreign nationals were among those unaccounted for.

The missing include tourists, security personnel and local residents, with people from more than 30 countries reported missing. Authorities have cautioned that the figures may change as information from different agencies is verified and rescue operations continue.
