Islamabad: Razaullah Nizamani, also known as Abu Saiullah, a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist and mastermind behind multiple terror attacks in India, was killed by unidentified assailants in the Sindh province of Pakistan on Sunday, according to Indian officials.

Nizamani, who reportedly enjoyed protection from the Pakistani government, was shot near a crossing after leaving his residence in Matli, Sindh, officials said. The circumstances of the killing remain unclear, with the gunmen yet to be identified.

Nizamani was a key figure behind the 2006 attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur, which left several injured and caused widespread shock. He was also linked to the 2005 attack on the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru and a terror strike at a CRPF camp in Rampur in 2001.

His death marks a significant development in the ongoing fight against terrorism linked to Pakistan-based militant groups. Authorities continue to investigate the motive and perpetrators behind the killing.

The killing has drawn attention amid persistent tensions between India and Pakistan over cross-border terrorism and security concerns.
