The protests, sparked by a social media ban, led to fatalities, injuries, and arson, including the tragic death of former PM Jhalanath Khanal's wife

Kathmandu: The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has announced the reopening of Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport from today, lifting the suspension of flights that was imposed due to adverse circumstances. This decision follows the meeting of the airport's security committee and comes amid ongoing security measures in the capital.
The reopening of the airport arrives as the Nepalese Army has been actively engaged in maintaining order during the Gen Z-led protests, making multiple arrests connected to violent incidents, including looting and arson. Security forces have also seized a substantial number of weapons and recovered stolen cash amid the unrest.
