India's covert Operation Sindoor has reportedly caused widespread panic among terrorist operatives in Pakistan, with unconfirmed media reports suggesting that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim may have fled the country.

Dawood, who has been wanted by India for decades and is believed to have resided in Karachi under ISI protection, is said to have left Pakistan along with his close associates Chota Shakeel and Munna Jhingra.

According to unnamed sources cited in various Indian media outlets, these individuals may have been relocated either outside Pakistan or to undisclosed locations within the country, possibly by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). However, these claims remain speculative and have not been officially confirmed by Indian intelligence agencies.

The speculation follows India’s targeted air strikes on nine terrorist camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir during the night of 6–7 May 2025, in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 Indian lives. The Ministry of Defence stated the operation was precisely executed, avoiding civilian casualties while destroying terror infrastructure.

While some sources claim Dawood is on the run and “afraid for his life,” others suggest he is still in Pakistan but has vacated his known hideouts. Intelligence agencies are currently verifying all inputs, and there has been no official statement confirming his departure from Pakistan.

India has reportedly made previous covert attempts to eliminate Dawood, but none have been successful. With Operation Sindoor demonstrating India's enhanced military precision and political resolve, observers believe Islamabad may be actively shielding high-profile fugitives to avoid further international embarrassment.
