Jerusalem: The Israel Defense Forces said Monday that it has identified "missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel. "Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat. Upon receiving an alert, the public is instructed to enter a protected space and remain there until further notice," the IDF said.

"Sirens sounding across northern Israel following another barrage of Iranian missiles," it added on X.

Earlier today, dramatic visuals emerged online, showing a missile strike hitting the compound of the Iranian State TV studio. The anchor, Sahar Imami, who was midway through the news bulletin, was compelled to run as the studio shook with the impact of the missile.

As reported by the Guardian, the conflict commenced Friday when Israel launched predawn strikes that hit more than 100 targets, including nuclear facilities and missile sites, and killed senior military commanders and scientists.

Residential areas in both countries have suffered deadly strikes. As of Monday, Iran’s health ministry said 224 people had been killed and 1,277 injured. Official Israeli sources said 23 civilians had been killed and nearly 60 injured.
