The incident occurred on Thursday night near Wimberley, located about 40 miles south-west of Austin. Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra confirmed that the crash took place at around 11 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that all five individuals on board the aircraft died in the crash. The identities of the victims have not yet been released, as officials are in the process of notifying their families.

Officials also noted that another aircraft operating in the same area landed safely near San Antonio.
