A golden opportunity for UK-based Keralites to enrol in NORKA Care’s affordable health and accident insurance scheme, with an online drive set for October 25.

Keralites living in the UK now have an opportunity to join NORKA Care, the government-backed health and accident insurance scheme for Non-Resident Keralites, through a special online campaign organised by the UK chapter of the Loka Kerala Sabha.
The virtual registration drive is scheduled for 25 October 2025 at 5:30 PM UK time, and is primarily aimed at reaching students and working professionals of Kerala origin residing in the UK. The initiative is part of a global effort by expatriate communities to promote widespread enrolment in the scheme, which becomes effective for overseas Keralites from 1 November 2025.
Affordable family health coverage
NORKA Care offers a comprehensive annual family insurance plan for just ₹13,411, covering a household consisting of husband, wife, and two children under 25. The benefits include:
- ₹5 lakh in health insurance
- ₹10 lakh in personal accident coverage
- Cashless Access to 16,000+ Hospitals Across India
A major highlight of the scheme is its cashless treatment facility at over 16,000 hospitals across India, including 500+ hospitals in Kerala. This ensures timely, hassle-free access to healthcare services for families dealing with emergencies from abroad.
A long-awaited solution for Malayali diaspora
NORKA Care was born out of decades-long demands by the Malayali expatriate community for a reliable, unified health protection scheme. First conceptualised during earlier Loka Kerala Sabha sessions, it has now evolved into a full-fledged welfare initiative that is both accessible and affordable.
