Kochi: Air India Express has unveiled plans for additional flight services from Kerala as part of summer schedule, encompassing both domestic and international routes. The airline is set to boost operations from four airports in the State, with the introduction of three new flights each month aimed at enhancing services.
At Kochi Airport, compared to the year 2023, the number of weekly services will go up from 93 to 104. Additional flights to Dammam and Bahrain have been inaugurated, alongside new services to Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Similarly, Kozhikode Airport will witness an increase in weekly services from 77 to 87, while Kannur will see the operation of 12 additional services. Among the new routes introduced are destinations like Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al-Khaimah, and Bengaluru.
Thiruvananthapuram Airport is also poised for a significant boost, with the number of flights soaring from 35 to 63. The expansion includes increased services to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Dammam.
It is also worth noting that Air India Express currently leads in international flight operations from Kerala.
