The police have apprehended a youth facing allegations in several cases. Thiruvallam Police took into custody 31-year-old Manukumar, also known as Palappur Manu, a resident of Palappur, invoking the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007 (Kaapa Act).
Following a report submitted by the Thiruvallam inspector, the District Collector ordered his detention under the provisions of the Kaapa Act.
According to the police, Manu is implicated in a range of offenses, including theft, snatching, murder and other cases. He was also accused in a case where a person was hacked within Nemom police station limits.
A team involving R. Fayaz Thiruvallam SHO, SI G. Gopakumar, and Unnikrishnan, G.S.I. Gilbert, S.C.P.O. Vinayakumar, and C.P.O. Shyamaprasad arrested him. He was produced in court and remanded.
