Kollam: In a harrowing incident, a woman was gravely injured when a cable wire got entangled in her scooter. Sandhya, a resident of Thazhava in Karunagappally, was riding her scooter when a large cable, dislodged by a passing lorry laden with heavy cargo, descended upon her vehicle. The cable interwined with the scooter and as the lorry moved forward, it inadvertently dragged the scooter along with Sandhya. After being pulled for approximately 20 meters, Sandhya fell, and the scooter flew high and toppled onto her. The commotion drew the attention of local residents, forcing the lorry to stop.

The incident occured on Saturday afternoon while Sandhya was assisting her husband Thulaseedharan at his workshop. The mishap happened as she prepared to leave the premises on her Activa scooter.

Sandhya was admitted to the nearby Karunagappally Taluk Hospital but due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to the Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
